The 1 Buck Project

I had an idea.

In hard economic times we need to try and get as much support as possible.

I thought of this, the 1 buck project.

If you were willing to give me a simple 1 dollar donation how much it could help.

As a teenager soon to be heading to university I'm trying to look at alternatives to hefty student loans that will set me in a bad economic place for the start of my adult life.

My dad being a low wage builder and mum struggling in retail we don't exactly have loads of money lying around to send me to uni. In fact there is none. While i have a job after paying rent, food, clothes I am left with not much to save.

I want to be able to be the sore thumb of my family and get the good job to support my parents and siblings. It is my ultimate dream to get into the ownership of business. I am aiming for a bachelor of business and information management at university however the fees for this particular bachelor are not exactly cheap. The course takes about 3 years full time at a cost of around $17,000NZD or about $8000USD on top of my rent, food etc. As you can see this isnt exactly cheap for a student from a lower income family and while im not expecting people to donate $17,000 to me, every dollar counts.

Im not asking everyone to give me thousands of dollars but my theory is that if there are some kind souls out there willing to reach into their hearts and donate $1, that's all it would all be a great help. Are you really going to miss $1 anyway. Wouldn't it be nice to help out someone from the pure kindness of your heart. I have done charity work before and know how good it feels to help out those less fortunate than you. If you do donate you will get a personal thanks from me and will be mentioned on this blog.

I've also decided that If i get a good response and support for this cause I will donate 50% of my earnings to charities throughout NZ and the USA and any other countries that support my cause.

I beg of you to please look into your hearts and donate a dollar. You'll feel good, be helping someone less fortunate, helping to secure my future, my families future and the future of your favourite charities. It will only take you a minute through paypal's fast and secure donation system.

I promise you wont be disappointed, this is no scam, just give me an email at 1buckproject@gmail.com and I'll personally write back to you and explain any questions you may have.

So many thanks in advance,
Sam,
